Unwanted houseguest dials up quick arrest

In yet another iPhone theft story, a victim in Chamkarmon district had hers stolen off the kitchen counter yesterday.

Police said the woman was in the back of the house when she heard a motorbike pull up and then, disconcertingly, the sound of her front door opening.

She ran just fast enough to see a thief slipping her iPhone 5 in his pocket and taking off.

Luckily, her shouts of “thief” were heard by nearby police, who managed to make the arrest almost immediately.
