Victim recovering after brutal attack with axe

In an act of callous disregard for the wellbeing of his one-year-old child – not to mention that of his wife – a Battambang man lashed out at his partner after a drunken argument.

Police said the man had come home drunk when his wife began accusing him of drinking too much.

The man delivered several blows with the axe, all while the woman was cradling her infant child.

Neighbours intervened, the husband was arrested and the woman is said to be recovering well. Nokorwat
