A 35-year-old capital resident is recovering in hospital after being beaten senseless with a bottle of wine on Tuesday.

Police said the man returned home after a night out astride the brand new moto he’d bought only that day.

When he pulled up to his front door, however, a group of four men accosted him with the bottle of hooch, leaving him laid-out as they sped off into the night.

Police are now on the lookout for the assailants, though have little to go on as helmets hid their identities. KAMPUCHEA THMEY
