A 43-year-old capital resident had a close shave with death on Friday courtesy of a straight razor.

Police said the man had been on a booze binge with his best buddy when they got into an argument.

The victim thought he’d settled matters with a few punches to the head, but the tables were turned when the aforementioned razor was produced and used to slash his face and chest.

Both men ended up in hospital, but true to their friendship, refused to press charges against each other. NOKORWAT
