IN DECEMBER 2018 The Land Rover Club of Cambodia was officially launched in the rainforest covered, mountainous north eastern Cambodian province of Ratanakiri.

The club was launched in partnership with AIRVATA Elephant Foundation. It is a place where indigenous mahouts treat their elephants in the most humane way possible. The elephants are at home in the wild country of Ratanakiri, much like the Land Rover vehicles themselves.

Twelve founding members of the club and two honourary members joined Club President Immy Panjwani, and Vice President, Okhna Dararath Ted So, to participate in the launch event.

This included much off road driving and a variety of activities that involved the AIRAVATA foundation’s elephants. The red dirt and running water, accompanied by the loose gravel and occasional boulder proved no match for the 4x4 capabilities of the Land Rovers.

Land Rover Cambodia is a division of the RMA group and through the Land Rover Club of Cambodia it made a deliberate and conscious decision to partner with AIRVATA to deliver a long term and strategic vision that has Cambodian culture and tradition at its core. With the elephants leading the way Land Rover vehicles handled the terrain with ease and grace, and a whole lot of smiling faces.

Through Land Rover Cambodia and the Land Rover Club of Cambodia, members donations are directed to AIRVATA foundation.

The Land Rover Club of Cambodia supports the vision of AIRVATA and is proud to be involved in supporting the preservation of elephant habitat, elephant protection, and ultimately the preservation of Cambodian culture and environment.

Driven by the passion of Cambodian Land Rover owners and brand enthusiasts, the Land Rover Club of Cambodia aims to create memorable and unique lifestyle experiences.

This is done with the goal of encouraging more people to participate in such activities and these adventures demonstrate the inspiring, intriguing and innovative world of the Land Rover brand.

Engaging in off road driving is a critical part of owning a Land Rover vehicle. While the Land Rover is more than comfortable driving on a city road, taking it to the wild is where the most exhilarating Land Rover experience can be appreciated.

Some core objectives of the Land Rover Club of Cambodia are to provide adventure and experiential activities in the form of off-road adventures. They also aim to promote safe driving on Cambodian roads, and to be part of the protection and conservation of Cambodian culture in the Kingdom.
