Asia Euro champions of university futsal event

The inaugural Beeline Arena Futsal University Championship wrapped up on Sunday with Asia Euro University emphatically claiming the title thanks to an 8-0 mauling of Build Bright University in the final.

The eight-team tournament kicked off on October 28 and featured a group stage spread over seven gameweeks with each sides playing each other twice.

The teams then entered a knockout quarter-final round, with the winners progressing to the semi-finals and final.

The third-place playoff saw the Royal University of Agriculture beat Norton University 3-2.

Event organisers Banzai are keen to host another championship at the Beeline Arena next year, with the hope that more teams will sign up to take the trophy off Asia Euro.
