Cambodia suffer big loss in futsal tourney opener

Cambodia were crushed 8-0 by Malaysia in their opening fixture of the 2012 AFF Futsal Championship in Bangkok yesterday.

The goals for the three-time runners-up Malaysia came at evenly spaced intervals and included a hat-trick from Qaiser Khadir.

In the later Group A match, the Philippines edged Myanmar 5-4, with Filipino-Iranian striker Misagh Bahadoran netting all five of their strikes at the Krungthep Thonburi Indoor Stadium.
