Cambodia stormed to a medal haul of 16 golds, 3 silvers and 13 bronzes at the 2nd Southeast Asian Vovinam Championships in Siem Reap this week to finish second in the overall standings behind the martial arts’ country of origin, Vietnam.
The tournament, held on Wednesday and yesterday at the Sokhalay Hotel, also included delegations from Indonesia (who came in third), Myanmar and Laos. Female Cambodian competitor Pal Chhorraksmey boasted the best individual record with a gold, silver and bronze from her events.
