Located only a few steps from the Praek Tuek Chhu River in Kampot province, the Natural Bungalows is a destination for relaxation that’s perfect for tourists who seek a quiet place surrounded by nature.
It is also a place where tourist can enjoy a cool environment and take some time to smell the flowers while staying at a beautifully decorated room.
Mony Khantey, the owner of Natural Bungalows, told The Post that: “The establishment has now been in operation for seven years.
“I didn’t do everything at once and created the bungalow concept step by step. I plan to have a swimming pool in the near future too.”
As a nature lover, Khantey has grown lots of flowers and trees to decorate her bungalows to match with the name of the place. Flowers include hibiscus, orange jasmine, Sphaerocoryne Affinis, cherry blossom and more.
She said one reason for the bungalows popularity is its good location by the Praek Tuek Chhu River.
“Tourists can take in the beauty of Kampot like the landscapes, the river, birds, and the Bokor Mountain. Tourists can also watch the sunrise and sunset, and during night time, they can sit by the hut and enjoy a sumptuous barbecue,” she says.
Natural Bungalows have a total of 22 bedrooms which include nine single bedrooms priced from $40 to $60, nine double bedrooms priced from $45 to $70, three bungalows priced from $75, and the only Sweet Sea View room priced at $115.
Open from 7am to 11pm, Natural Bungalows receive many tourists during the weekends, including foreigners and locals. It also has a restaurant serving a variety of Khmer and international cuisine.
