The wife and mother of Kem Sokha were outside the Appeal Court in Phnom Penh this morning, as the jailed former opposition leader was brought to the capital for a bail hearing that was ultimately rejected.
In tears, his 92-year-old mother Sao Nget told reporters: “I want to meet my son. I want to go inside the court to meet my son,” she said.
Both women were eventually allowed into the court.
